Hey hi hello, I’m Acacia!

I’m Acacia (pronounced uh-kay-see-uh). I am a Philly-raised, Nashville-based mural artist, illustrator, and all-around maker of things, but murals have always had my heart. I grew up in Philadelphia filling sketchbooks, and doodling in every school book until a teacher introduced me to the Philadelphia Mural Arts program in middle school. Later, I attended an arts-based high school with a focus on painting and illustration, which cemented my path as an artist.

Art has always been more than a career for me, it is my healing practice. As a creative with ADHD and a million on-going projects, I like to say “I have a humming in my bones, a need to create”. That phrase inspired my studio name, Humming Bones Murals + Design Studio.

I now live in Nashville with my partner Aiden, who is both the other half of my heart and of this art business. Together we run our home studio and balance each other creatively.

When I am not painting a mural, you will likely find me hosting Nashville’s Sketchbook Club or leading art workshops around town. Mixing art with community is my bread and butter, and Sketchbook Club has become one of my favorite ways to share that.
